Downs…

3. A Clunky Return

For about a year now, Liv Morgan has been on the ascent as a wrestler, regularly delivering in the ring and becoming one of WWE’s most reliable performers.

Although she just returned from injury, Kairi Sane has been an underrated wrestler on the main roster, someone who could really shine if given an opportunity in singles action.

Together, however, Liv and Kairi did not gel as well as expected on Raw on Monday night. Their match – Liv’s first since leaving more than a month ago to film Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo – was awkward and clunky at times, with the women periodically on different pages. At one point, Sane struggled to pull off an Alabama Slam, botching it twice, and when she finally connected with it, Liv almost landed on her feet instead of her back.

The match also served as a backdrop for Roxanne Perez to try to prove her worth to the Judgment Day, and she came through, only for Raquel Rodriguez to inexplicably lose her mind and distract Morgan long enough to cost her the match.

Sane and Morgan did have a couple of nice sequences, but not enough to merit an “Up” here. Nothing to worry about beyond just one night.
