7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (3 Feb - Results & Review)

6. Penta Chugging Along

WWE Raw Penta
WWE

Another week, another “W” for Penta.

WWE’s latest luchador signing won his third consecutive match on Raw Monday night, defeating Ludwig Kaiser in a fun little contest. That bout came about due to Penta eliminating Kaiser in the Royal Rumble in six seconds. That’s the perfect way to spin up a quick television match – have someone toss another wrestler from the Rumble, and they immediately want revenge.

Penta continues to look smooth in the ring, delivering more offense as fans start to come up for his signature spots. In some ways, these early matches are more about training fans to react to his backstabber, headstand pendulum kick, Sacrifice, and Penta Driver more than familiarizing them with his character.

Sure, he will need to deliver a bit more as he gets deeper into this WWE run, but Penta is still in that honeymoon phase, and it’s clear the company is still bringing him along with fans.
