6. Dominik Steals Another One

The running gag that Domnik Mysterio is out of his league in the ring has long since run its course, and yet he still continues to have matches that fire up fans, with Monday’s contest against Dragon Lee being another loud affair.

Mysterio has improved in the ring, and being in there with someone as skilled as Dragon Lee certainly helped. But Dominik also has gotten good at playing to the fans, egging them on as they chanted for him to shave his mullet, posing whenever possible, and blowing kisses to Liv Morgan after she chop-blocked Dragon Lee, allowing Mysterio to get the win.

It’s frustrating to see someone as insanely talented as Lee lose yet another TV match, but the Mysterio-Morgan connection has played out really well, with Liv paying dividends in Dominik’s ongoing feud with his father and Rey’s chosen luchador successor.

One last note: the open question of why Zelina Vega didn’t accompany the LWO to ringside to counter Morgan was quickly answered moments later when her six-woman tag match began in the next segment. She clearly was backstage preparing for her tag match and couldn’t be ringside with her cohorts.
