1. A Mighty Meaty Main Event

Given their styles, Brody King battling Eddie Kingston had the potential to be great, and great it certainly was.

These fellas beat the absolute tar out of one another, from strikes, to suplexes, to piledrivers, to just the general visual of seeing flesh pound on other flesh. Neither competitor looked to be having a fun time when it came to taking offense, yet both men likewise seemed to relish every minute of this hard-hitting affair.

What also added to this match, was a genuine sense of uncertainty over who would be the victor. Brody has so often been viewed as the unstoppable monster of the House of Black, whereas Kingston was the two-time champion brimming with fighting spirit and sheer hard-headedness.

In the end, it was King who got the W after landing a mammoth powerbomb, and that was a fine result. Eddie Kingston has never been defined by a loss, with the Mad King arguably at his best when he's fighting against the odds. Now, with one defeat already to this name, Kingston is one of these who finds himself fighting an uphill - but not impossible - battle to win his group and land himself a spot at World's End to somehow keep hold of the ROH World Title and NJPW Openweight Title that both mean so much for him.

It may have been a rather bland Collision overall, but the main event - as has been commonplace with AEW's Saturday show - was an utter belter.
