7 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (9 Mar)

Ups...

7. Tully Blanchard, Binned

There's a valid point to be made about the volume of split angles on last night's show. Is three on one night too many? Perhaps, but it depends how they land. Spreading them out across multiple weeks may have been a wiser choice, though the sheer volume of things happening on Dynamite unquestionably made it a more exciting watch.

Tully Blanchard was fired by FTR in a short backstage segment that saw the former Four Horseman dismiss Dax Harwood's words on fighting for his family, leading to Cash Wheeler formally severing ties. Short and snappy, it got to the point.

We may have witnessed the entire Pinnacle's implosion, in fact. MJF and Shawn Spears were nowhere in sight. FTR felt sympathetic and relatable here, while Wardlow straight-up said he was out of the group later on. This is likely for the better. The Pinnacle were better in theory than practice, suffering from a lack of focus and direction, and it was hard not to come out of this segment excited for whatever's next for Dax and Cash.
