7 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (28 Oct)

2. Losing Its Feeling

When security has to intervene during a pull-apart brawl, it indicates to the audience that those involved are at such a crucial point in their story, it's the only way to keep them separated. If it happens three times in a row, however, it's rendered entirely pointless.

It was particularly pointless when Moose and Matt Cardona came to blows. Their rivalry is non-existent; Moose simply dumped Cardona out last during the Call Your Shot gauntlet match, which somehow owes him a World Title opportunity, with security turning up instantaneously as if they'd been watching the whole thing unfold in front of them.

There's not much to justify the other two occurrences, either. Stopping Moose and Eddie Edwards fighting amongst each other is near-impossible, while Josh Alexander and Minoru Suzuki follow a similar path to Moose and Cardona in that there's no story there. In that case, the security involvement was simply to save the gravitas of their eventual collision.

It's an easy mistake to rectify, so hopefully IMPACT follows through on it.
