7 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Nov 12)

3. Hostilities Run High

Out of the six participants included in the Elimination Challenge, it's safe to say that the majority of them would love to get their hands on Sami Callihan. Thus, it came as no surprise that a tag team match with Tessa Blanchard and Rich Swann vs. Callihan and Madman Fulton descended into chaos.

With Swann finding himself being decimated courtesy of the bigger boy Fulton, the crowd were begging to see Tessa tagged in, which made it all that better when the former Knockouts Champion became the legal competitor. Perhaps she should never have tagged out in hindsight, as when she did, Rich was pinned not long after. In fairness to him, it was after he had been smacked across the skull with the World Championship title belt.

Things only became more heated from here though, with 'The Draw' continuing his assault post-match after hitting Tessa with the title too. That's when Brian Cage made his presence felt, with 'The Machine' storming the ring, and cleaning house in the process. Clearly, losing the title to Sami lit a new fire inside him.

This #1 contenders match next week could very well be one to remember, but from a story perspective, it's much more incredible. Both Tessa Blanchard and Brian Cage are dying to be the one to end the reign of terror from Sami Callihan, while Rich Swann, Michael Elgin, Moose, and Daga are all possible contenders to challenge for the title.

The fact that we're getting this on free TV is exceptional.
