7 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Backstage (Dec 17)

A Blissmas Miracle.

Is WWE Backstage the only Raw and SmackDown-focussed product to still give a sh*t about the happenings of the organisation on the slow stroll to the holiday season?

Bounding into view following a middling TLC and a desperately drab Raw (and a not-that-thrilling one next week, based on spoilers), the FS1 panel show remains a breezy meander through the murky depths of the company's weekly output with or without CM Punk.

Yes, 'The Voice Of The Voiceless' again dominates the discussion in this part of the article, but it'll be this part alone - Alexa Bliss was promoted on Raw in place of the semi-regular host ensuring that he remained entirely absent from the product despite tiptoeing ever closer with this new job.

He's been at pains to remind fans that he's working for Fox and not Vince McMahon, but then he would do that. Better he tell the truth now than be called a liar later, but the longer he sticks around, the more that mere rumours will feel like an inevitability.

But no, he wasn't here this week. But it's okay, because William Shatner was. This show gets no less bizarre...
