Just a quick nod to WWE in general for showing a bit of festive spirit and giving talent time off over the holiday season this year considering some of the shifts they've been required to put in in the past.

Confirmation here that next week's special will be a Year End Award Show confirmed that even Backstage would be canned for christmas, and more power to the powers-that-be for the call.

This, subsequently, also marks the last Backstage Ups & Downs article of 2019 - but prepare for yet more tepid takes and CM Punk overanalysis in the new year, unless Vince McMahon actually gives the show a look and has FS1 pull the plug.

Here's to a holiday season filled with Champagne Wishes and Caviar Dreams for all of you, whatever the f*ck they are, until then.
