7 Ups & 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Backstage (Dec 17)

Ember Moon
WWE

"I'm almost out of this contraption" was as much as former NXT Women's Champion Ember Moon could say regarding her "bum wheel" (and thank Booker T for that typically erudite line of questioning), but her return to Backstage here was as welcome as in-ring comeback will be in the future.

This show - this meaningless yet occasionally marvellous show - is getting people over. WWE's weekly product is a tricky one to dwell on at times (without your best friends in the comments section ripping your opinions to shreds) but alongside headline attraction CM Punk, the rotating crew including Paige, Christian, Samoa Joe and now Moon all have more stock than they did before its curious little existence.

It'll be a tragedy if Moon's recovery robs her of her wonderful Eclipse finisher or several valuable years performing it, but her coherent critical analysis here suggests she'd one day to a superb job of describing somebody else's attempt.
