7 Ups & 4 Downs From NXT Halloween Havoc Part Two (Results & Review)

Poor Andre Chase wants nothing more than to be successful while doing things the right way. Unfortunately for him, those two goals do not always align.

Chase saw this firsthand at Halloween Havoc when Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail came oh-so-close to dethroning Chelsea Green and Piper Niven and taking their WWE Tag Team Championship. Chase U was rolling, with Jacy (of all people) getting the hot tag and running wild.

Still, she tried reverting to her old ways and attempted to use Andre’s tag title, only for Professor Chase to stop her. That distraction led to Green hitting Jayne with the Unpretty-Her for the win.

The entire Jacy storyline has been confusing at times, as fans are seemingly meant to take her as a heel trying to worm her way into Chase U to corrupt it – and Thea. But she’s helped boost Hail’s confidence, and Duke Hudson and Chase won the NXT Tag Team Championship last week, and Jacy and Thea came close to winning the women’s tag titles.

So how should fans receive all of this? These recent developments seem to suggest that Chase could be tempted by Jacy and unscrupulous ways… especially if they yield results, and the honorable way doesn’t work. That’s enough to merit an “up” here.
