7 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2025
4. Women’s Chamber Delivers
In addition to praising Liv Morgan, hats off to all seven women (including Jade Cargill) who were part of the women’s Elimination Chamber match on Saturday night.
The women’s chamber match was brilliantly constructed, with Cargill taking out Naomi as the (presumed) attacker who put her on the shelf months ago. That freed things up for the remaining five women to get down to business. Bianca Belair sold being distraught at her tag team partner being wiped out but soldiered on with a shot at WrestleMania on the line. Roxanne Perez and Bayley renewed hostilities, with Bayley being overly focused on the NXT superstar, leading to her getting pinned.
Perez looked like she fit in on the main roster right out of the gate, while Bliss also looked good here, easing back into the mix and having a good showing rather than being put in a difficult spot in her third match back.
Better yet, the match featured some really well-timed finisher counters and a tremendous combo that saw Perez evade an Oblivion, Belair shrug Roxanne off an attempted Pop Rox into a Morgan Codebreaker, which immediately was followed by a Twisted Bliss to eliminate Perez.
As with all 40-minute chamber matches, there were some down spots in the first third, but when this got going, it was crisp and fun, and all of it felt like it meant something rather than just being MOVEZ. Solid opener.
