MSK have suddenly become one of NXT's most rejected acts. Fans in the CWC have been rebelling against the tag-team, and that's maybe why WWE had a big decision to make at Halloween Havoc. Did they stick by Nash Carter and Wes Lee, or did they put the NXT Tag straps on somebody else.

The answer: Imperium.

Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner as reliable heels who will work out well as champions. They enjoyed a solid 105 days as champs back in 2020, and NXT's top brass know the technically-excellent pair will represent the division with distinction yet again.

That's why they get the first 'Up' here. Stripping MSK also takes some heat off them for now, and it's not like Imperium are ever gonna be a bad choice as successors. NXT's next challenge is building up a popular enough babyface tag to take them on.
