7 Ups & 4 Downs from WWE Raw (9 June - Results & Review)

2. Diminished Iyo

There’s more than a good chance that Iyo Sky will be doing something significant at Evolution next month, but that doesn’t discount the fact that the Women’s World Champion has been given next-to-naught to do since winning the title at WrestleMania 41. She hasn’t defended it once since 'Mania, her last singles match was more than a month ago, and her last match was four weeks ago.

Monday night, Sky’s only contribution to Raw was to exchange pleasantries and respect with that trailblazer Nikki Bella, whose screentime was probably longer than Iyo’s for the past three weeks combined.

Iyo got herself over as a top babyface through sheer force of will in the ring in the lead-up to WrestleMania 41 and in the immediate aftermath. But it’s hard to not feel like she’s been parked the past month, relegated to backstage segments and a brief run-in during a Kairi Sane match. A popular world champion being sidelined for one week is one thing, but this needs to reverse course immediately.
