5. Judgment Day Hijinks

Although the major story of Raw was the gauntlet match and the return of Roman Reigns, another heel stable garnered a lot of attention Monday night.

The Judgment Day had a pretty strong night on Raw, with the women picking up the win in a tag match against the Kabuki Warrior, thanks in part to Dominik Mysterio’s distractions. Beating Asuka and Kairi Sane in their first two-on-two tag match in more than a year was certainly a choice, but solidifying the relationship between Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez is more important right now.

Mysterio had a good little moment with Raw GM Adam Pearce later on when the GM confronted the group backstage, ordering Dominik to undergo a re-evaluation to get cleared for action. Pearce pledged to book Dom against AJ Styles for SummerSlam the moment the doctor cleared him. This led to Dirty Dom turning and finding AJ praying for Mysterio to get a clean bill of health. Dominik responded by praying back and telling God to not let that happen.

It's all midcard fodder, but the Judgment Day feels more cohesive and viable in recent weeks than they had for the longest time. Winning titles helps, but knowing there’s a tonal shift coming when Liv Morgan returns also helps build anticipation.
