7 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dark (Jul 28)

1. Abadon vs. Skyler Moore

Abadon Kenzie Paige

Subjectively, Abadon's zombie act isn't for this writer, though it's important that things like this are reviewed as objectively as possible. If it's not Your Sh*t, ask yourself if it worked for its wider purpose and achieved whatever the intended goal was.

Abadon vs. Skyler Moore did not. This was intended to elevate Abadon and make her look strong - and it flopped.

Moore's competitiveness was the issue here, as Abadon absolutely ruined Anna Jay last time out. That bout was perfectly played, with AEW framing it as a big Jay showcase before she was mauled, mounting zero offense against the 'Living Dead Girl.' Here, Moore pretty much went 50/50 when she should have been flattened like Jay.

A 30-second beatdown culminating in that sick face-plant 'Rana Abadon does would have seen this flying high as an Up. Alas, this was a misfire.
