Any time Sami Callihan cuts a promo, you can guarantee it being an Up. The guy is perhaps the best talker in IMPACT today, maybe in IMPACT history full stop. The things he says, the way he delivers everything, the production that goes into making them look appealing. Everything adds together for ‘The Draw’s’ promos. Under Siege was one of his best.
The former oVe man stated that he was Don Callis’ biggest fear because Callis knows that Callihan is capable of ending Kenny Omega’s run as IMPACT World Champion. Why? Because Sami has carried IMPACT Wrestling as a promotion on his back since he arrived.
The guy has a point. Every single angle Sami’s been involved in – minus only the Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes stuff from late last year – has worked. Sami Callihan is simply that dedicated to everything he’s part of that he can make even the dullest story arc the most exciting thing on a show. Rich Swann, Eddie Edwards, Trey Miguel, Penta el Zero Miedo, the North, et al; they can all justify this.
A solid promo from Callihan that could have easily been the standard I’m-going-to-win-this-because-I-said-so schtick.
