7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (6 May - Results & Review)

3. Female Powerhouses Play To Silence

Zoey Stark Ivy Nile

It’s hard to not feel bad for Zoey Stark and Ivy Nile, who were put in a difficult spot Monday night of following a barnburner of a match between Ilja Dragunov and Ricochet.

The women, who have been mired in WWE’s wretched women’s tag division, struggled to get any sustained reaction from the fans during their first-round Queen of the Ring match. The bout itself was really just a series of moves happening in front of fans with no real cohesion. It got sloppy in a couple of spots, but otherwise was serviceable.

But it’s impossible to ignore how pin-drop silent it was during the vast majority of the match and how disjointed the match felt at times. There was a lot working against Stark and Nile here, but they did not turn in a performance that was going to overcome crowd apathy and burnout.
