7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (8 May - Results & Review)

6. A Decent Debut

Zoey Stark

Not every NXT callup is going to get a glitzy welcome to the main roster, but at least Zoey Stark picked up the win and got to hit her signature spots Monday night.

Stark defeated Nikki Cross in a short, but energetic match that saw the newcomer take the fight to the veteran and overcome the Scot’s frenzied flurry at the beginning. Zoey’s Z-360 finisher is always an eye-catching finale to a match, so that hopefully will stick with fans more than anything. She’s a talented wrestler who could add a lot of value to the women’s roster if given the opportunity.

The crowd unfortunately was fairly quiet, but you can only hope that that isn’t held against her going forward. It’s a challenge for WWE to overcome, not something to blame on Stark.
