The Raw tag team division might be a joke in terms of how small it is, but if you’re going to run back a match from two weeks ago, at least having your tag champs win both matches is the right call.

Alpha Academy once again toppled the Street Profits, with Chad Gable getting a little bit of that good heel cheating that somewhat protects the babyfaces, but also really solidifies that the champs will take any shortcut. Gable and Otis are clicking well as a tag team these days, with Chad’s wrestling acumen and Otis’ imposing size being very complimentary.

The two teams had a pretty good little match, right up to Montez Ford lifting Otis and trying to slam him, but falling back with the human tree trunk on top. Gable grabbed Ford’s foot to prevent a kickout, securing the win for the champs.

The only negative here is that the Alphas beat the Profits just two weeks ago, which says that the Raw tag division is so shallow these days that they can’t spare another tandem to tangle with the champs. That’s a problem.
