7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (May 16)

6. Barbecue Sauce

Only Kevin Owens, Chad Gable and Otis could make barbecue sauce work as a punchline so perfectly.

The ongoing saga of KO and Alpha Academy trying to expose Ezekiel not as Elias’ younger brother, but as Elias himself continued Monday night when Gable’s DNA lab work was returned. However, the sample was “contaminated” with barbecue sauce. Owens read the report and stared at Otis, who remarked that Elias must’ve eaten ribs and pulled pork. KO yelled that he wanted a lie detector test for the human tree trunk because he saw him chowing down in catering last week.

All of this was really very silly, but all three men delivered it perfectly, making it a really comical scene that continues to take the absurd and make it work.
