7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (Oct 10)

6. ‘Hit Me’

Who could have predicted that Dominik Mysterio’s perfect role was to cash in on his punchable face by leaning into it with a heel turn on his father?

But that’s exactly what has worked perfectly for Dom since joining Judgment Day and repeatedly tormenting Rey Mysterio. The younger Mysterio has gotten nuclear heat just by demanding that his dad hit him.

Monday, Rey won his match against Chad Gable, but then went face-to-face with Dominik, who slapped him and clotheslined him. Rey, however, wouldn’t hit his son… but Dom happily took another swing, and then delivered a 619 to leave Rey sobbing.

On paper, this shouldn’t work as well as it does, but it miraculously has. Here’s hoping it can continue.
