7 Ups & 6 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (30 March)

2. Havok, You Are The Weakest Link

We’ll touch on the match itself a bit later in the article, but the aftermath of Fire N Flava vs. Havok and Nevaeh was the culmination to a few weeks’ worth of storytelling that everyone had given up on. The payoff came far too late.

Losing again to Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz, Nevaeh ambushed Havok from behind after the bell, signalling the end of their alliance. The beatdown wasn’t necessarily bad to be fair; she properly wailed on the former Knockouts Champion, spiking her with a DDT variation before deeming Havok the weak link.

What this means going forward, though, is that IMPACT only has three full-time tandems in the knockouts division; Fire N Flava, Kimber Lee and Susan, and Jordynne Grace and Jazz, the last of which is likely ending at Hardcore Justice as a result of Jazz’s career being on the line. Why would you disband your most established duo so soon after bringing back the Knockouts Tag Team Championships? It just doesn’t make sense.

Until recently, IMPACT were doing a far better job at booking women’s tag team wrestling than WWE were. Now, that’s not the case.
