3. Ripley Outsmarts Phoenix

Last week gave us an endearing moment when Beth Phoenix captured Dominik Mysterio and spiked him with a Glam Slam, but not before Dom cried out for his “Mami!”, who wasn’t there.

Monday night, Rhea Ripley was apparently still traveling internationally and not with the rest of her Judgment Day cohorts during their match against the Street Profits. After the match, the group assaulted the Profits, only for Edge & Beth Phoenix to run down to save them. Fate would have it that Beth was once against alone with Mysterio, and she prepared to hoist him up again… only for Ripley to appear in the ring to take out Phoenix.

It was a very simple move, having Dom claim Rhea wasn’t there when she was being held back in case the “Grit Couple” attempted to interfere in JD’s business. But it was effective and followed up on last week’s memorable moment. Plus it reinserted Ripley into the fray just before the upcoming PLE.
