7 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (20 Feb - Results & Review)

Downs…

6. Ali Smiles More, Wins

Mustafa Ali Dolph Ziggler

It’s really a shame to label match in which Mustafa Ali finally wins as a “down,” but this recent run has been a completely uninteresting one.

Ali has been in the business of whining about not getting opportunities, with most of his anger directed at Dolph Ziggler. This finally gave way to a match Monday night between the two, with Ali scoring a surprise crucifix pin after a nifty block of Dolph’s Fameasser with a handstand.

The win in theory should trigger some new avenues for Mustafa, but it just doesn’t feel like any of them will be interesting or good. Instead, we’ll probably get a few more digital exclusives between Ziggler and Ali and another lackluster match where they go 50/50.

At least if Ali had turned heel outright, we could have said it went somewhere. But this abrupt match did not provide a satisfactory result and probably will just continue to tread water.
