7 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 6)

4. Theory Seeks To Impress

OK, so if we’re going the route of Austin Theory as a protégé of sorts to Vince McMahon, this could actually work.

Now, there are a lot of variables here to work through, but Theory getting jerked around and then having to go prove himself to Vince by attacking Finn Balor (and snapping a selfie) after a match was a great little beat. Austin could benefit from being in Vince’s orbit – provided McMahon isn’t doing garbled rambling for 20 minutes trying to teach life lessons no one understands.

But if Vince is grooming Theory to be “his guy” and Austin is the all-too-willing superstar who is eager to impress, then that could work well.

And a match against Balor could make for a nice grudge match at Day 1 or on an upcoming Raw.
