The feud between Bianca Belair and Doudrop finally warmed up a good amount Monday night, and they managed to leave it at the right point for fans to want more.

Doudrop (who apparently has new music if that’s what they played) attacked Belair mid-entrance, setting up a match where things moved along methodically with a couple of splashy moments, until the final few minutes. Belair hit a spinebuster that fired up the fans as she came back and hit a crossbody for a near-fall. Doudrop countered a sunset flip with a Banzai Drop, then hit a Vader Bomb for a close 2 count. She then missed a cannonball.

Bianca hoisted Doudrop up for a KOD, but she escaped, rolled outside and calmly walked to the back, getting counted out intentionally in the process. The announcers did a nice job pointing out that Doudrop could have realized she was in Belair’s clutches and decided to take a powder and regroup for a rematch rather than continue.

Yes, you can dispute the wisdom of walking out on a match when it’s your job to wrestle and win matches. But in this instance, they can actually explain it away. And hey, if say Bianca gets counted out next week, then you can do stuff like a lumberjill match and/or a cage match at Day 1. Just food for thought.
