7 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Oct 25)

2. Becks, Bianca Up The Ante

You’ve gotta give credit to Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair for turning the conversation about women’s titles into something hot right away.

Last week and throughout the weekend, the chatter was about the title swap between Becky and Charlotte Flair. But Lynch came out of the gate and laid down the marker: She never was beaten for the Raw Women’s Championship (she surrendered it when she got pregnant), so the title was back where it belonged. And in her mind, Belair didn’t deserve another shot at a title, so it was on to others like Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley.

But Bianca did a nice job egging Lynch on, shredding Becky’s false bravado and saying that she still seeks validation and can’t deal with the fact that Belair is soaking in cheers. Becky told her back of the line, which triggered a brawl. In the aftermath, a heated Becks agreed to a title match – just not here. Later on, it was made official for next week, so kudos for actually booking it rather than being at some indiscriminate time in the future.

It was solid work from both women, and Belair is showing that she’s not a rookie on the mic, which helps her standing dramatically.
