7 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SummerSlam 2022
5. Logan Paul’s Performance
Pre-SummerSlam, many wondered how Logan Paul would fare in a singles setting. That's a tougher task than dipping in and out of the ring for carefully-planned spots in a tag-team match, but Paul looked great against The Miz. Obviously, Miz deserves a pat on the back for that too.
He provided a solid base that Logan could work around.
Some on social media have pointed out that LP was visibly sucking wind just a few minutes into the match, but...are people really going to hold that against a guy with so few in-ring reps? That'd be ridiculous, and it's not like his heavy breathing ruined the match.
WWE packed Paul's first big one-on-one with enough bells and whistles to distract fans too. AJ Styles getting involved to take out Ciampa was smart, and Logan's dazzling frog splash through the announce table probably even made Shane McMahon's nod his head.
Y'know, if he was watching.
