7 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SummerSlam 2022

1. The Point?

WWE SummerSlam 2022 The Usos Street Profits Jeff Jarrett

Eyebrows were raised when WWE announced that Jeff Jarrett would be the special guest referee for a rematch between The Usos and Street Profits. However, things might've worked out well had the home-state legend actually been a factor in the match.

He wasn't.

Jarrett barely got involved, and that superkick spot from Friday's SmackDown meant nothing in the end. Jeff's comeback gig wound up being pointless, and he added bugger all to the match. Worse, The Street Profits are pretty rudderless after losing so definitely, and The Usos really have no viable babyface challengers left to work with.

This is poor planning all-round from creative. What should've been another tag-team classic (the MITB match was awesome) turned into yet another rematch that was inferior to its predecessor. Theory and Bobby Lashley know a little something about that themselves.
