7 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW All Out 2022

5. Still Not Sure What The Point Was

Right, Dax Harwood's daughter getting paraded around the ring was undeniably sweet. You'd have to be coldhearted to begrudge the FTR man that, but smiling for a happy daddy/daughter moment doesn't mean one has to like AEW giving this nothing six-man 16 whole minutes (20+ if you include entrances).

Why was this even on the card?

AEW shouldn't be booking house show-esque fare like this on major pay-per-views, but that's exactly what this was. Wardlow and FTR vs. Jay Lethal and The Motor City Machine Guns lacked context and story next to some other matches on the card, and yet it was handed way more time than them.

Samoa Joe returning to save the day and randomly bleeding (?!) wasn't enough to stop the match from feeling like filler. Just move onto FTR vs. The Machine Guns already, and give Wardlow a fresh feud for his TNT Title.

Pretty please?
