7 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW All Out 2022

2. Too Many Matches

Look, no-one out there needs to get into another argument about general show length. It's also pretty impressive that AEW managed to get through this amount of content in a shade under four hours. The agents, producers and workers all deserve credit for that, but yeah...

...All Out didn't need so many attractions.

Stories like Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Ricky Starks, Jade Cargill vs. Athena and even Jungle Boy vs. Christian Cage weren't given nearly enough time to breathe. Meanwhile, rather bizarrely, two exhibition-style six-mans got a combined half hour between them despite barely featuring any must-see narrative going in.

Tony Khan badly needs an editor for these events. Sorry, but he does. Constantly slinging as many matches as a card can handle at fans and screaming about value for money isn't enough. Giving people bang for their pay-per-view dollars/pounds is fine - sacrificing crucial stories isn't.
