7 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Sept 13)

2. PPV Card Still Lacking

In one sense, there’s still plenty of time to fill out the Extreme Rules card, with two episodes of SmackDown and one more Raw to go.

But Monday’s program did not add to the current four-match card. In fact, it pulled one of the five matches announced away (the WWE Championship match that main-evented Raw). That means we’ve got next week’s episode and just two bouts from the red brand: a United States Championship match and a Raw Women’s Championship contest.

Raw played those two up, but they didn’t build up anything else new. Sure, the new WWE Champion will probably be in action, and the Raw Tag Team Championship might be up for grabs, but they really aren’t putting in the work to build a card with depth here.

Maybe it’s just watching AEW slowly add more and more matches to their All Out PPV and knowing Raw will probably just toss 2-3 more matches out there next week at the last minute that is so irritating here.
