7 Ups & 8 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Jan 21)

4. A Northern Celebration

With their World Tag Team Championships safe and secure following their Handicap Match victory over Willie Mack at Hard To Kill, Ethan Page and Josh Alexander were in a celebratory mood. 'All Ego', in particular, was over the moon that his plan to mentally pick apart both Mack and Rich Swann came together.

Just as they were celebrating though, the reigning tag champs attempted to confront a mysterious man, who replied to them in Spanish. That man, as revealed by Impact's Twitter page following the night, was El Hijo del Vikingo, one third of the reigning AAA World Trios Champions alongside Golden Magic and Myzteziz Jr. Vikingo seemingly laid down a challenge for next week, with the same Twitter post stating that he would face 'The Walking Weapon' in singles competition.

A short segment, but it did enough to set up a singles bout for next week, while also further elevating The North as the World Tag Team Champions by having them bring the titles across the border. While the gold isn't on the line next week, there's the possibility it could lead to a titles match. An international defence will only raise the stock level of Page and Alexander.
