7 Ups & 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 31)
5. Whole Lot Of Nothing

WWE calls it mind games. Fans call it nothing.
Roman Reigns trotted out to deliver a short and succinct message (complete with letting everyone know that hes not a good guy, or a bad guy, but hes the guy) before calling out Seth Rollins. The Architect went through a series of starts and stops with walking to the ring, then turned around, grabbed a mic, threw it down and teased getting in the ring a bunch more.
In the end, nothing happened. Is it better than the alternative of Rollins getting on the apron and Roman Superman Punching him off it? Perhaps. But wouldnt the segment have carried more weight if Rollins had antagonized Reigns for a couple minutes about making him wait to get his hands on him? If WWE wanted to play up a rivalry about more than the title, Seth could easily point to the reaction he got for attacking Roman, while Reigns is the world champ and is booed at every turn.
Instead, we got a mime act. It wasnt bad, but it certainly wasnt what youd want between the next PPVs main eventers.
