7 Ups And 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 28)

8. Not All Heat Is Good Heat

Look, WWE is in a rough spot with Sasha Banks. They have her booked as part of a heel trio (Team BAD), but fans insist on chanting and cheering for her. They want fans to boo, so they put a mic in Banks€™ hand and tried to get her to turn the Brooklyn crowd. Sasha is pretty good on the mic, so maybe she could do the trick. Unfortunately, it was WWE writers putting the words in her and Naomi€™s mouths, so out came the cheapest of cheap heat you can get: sports teams. Sasha and Tamina pulled out New England Patriots hats (Banks is from Boston) and put them on. One problem: the Patriots played the New York Jets on Sunday and lost. (Oh, and the Jets actually play in New Jersey, but that€™s a minor point.) If they wanted to score some local sports heat, maybe wearing Boston Celtics gear in the same building where the Brooklyn Nets play (and in fact will play the Celtics next Monday) would have been a smarter move. And the less said about Naomi€™s Adjective of the Day promo, the better.
