7 Ups And 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 7)
5. Demote Byron Saxton
This could almost be a weekly item, but it bears reminding this week that Byron Saxton is not ready for prime time. Hes trying really hard, and God knows that many would fail in his position, but hes just not cut out for live television at this time. One glaringly awful exchange came before the Dolph Ziggler versus Kevin Owens match when Tyler Breeze made his way out. Saxton seemed confused or surprised that Breeze was heading their way, only for Michael Cole to point out that Prince Prettys VIP lounge was set up two feet away from Byron. Saxton then went into banal conversation mode, commenting on the cheese and grapes they had and discussing sneaking over to take a selfie with Breeze. Maybe hes there to hit the high-pitched Unity! when mimicking Team BADs promo, because he sure isnt there to add insight and depth to the commentary team. The sad thing is that Tom Phillips and Corey Graves are much better. Renee Young also could do a much better job and deserves a shot before keeping Saxton out there.
