7 Ups And 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 29th)

6. It Keeps Going And Going€

Maybe the nWo comparison isn€™t all that far off€ For the second week in a row, Monday Night Raw ended with the Authority putting a lengthy beatdown on someone who was in the WrestleMania XXXI main event. Last week, Brock Lesnar€™s knee was decimated with a steel chair. This week, Roman Reigns was beaten by the four Authority members who aren€™t major shareholders in WWE. That beating lasted for seven minutes. Seven. We saw three matches that combined probably didn€™t run that long. Why do we need seven minutes of four guys beating down one man? And then after putting Roman through a table, Bray Wyatt comes down to deliver Sister Abigail. https://youtu.be/qRo55Oa6fBc?t=2m57s Maybe that€™s supposed to show how tough Reigns is, but looked more like the Authority was ineffective at putting Roman down. And it was eerily similar to the old nWo beatdowns that went on forever at the end of Nitro. Those got old quickly too, so that much hasn€™t changed.
