7 Ups And 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 6)
7. Always A Bridesmaid

Its pretty obvious that the announcers were only trying to help show how close Dean Ambrose has been to the top of the mountain in WWE, but they did him no favors Monday night.
During Ambroses match against Kevin Owens, the announcers noted that Dean had nearly won the Royal Rumble this year, nearly won the Money in the Bank ladder match last year, nearly won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns last year, and nearly won the title against Triple H at Roadblock. (That leaves out how he nearly beat Seth Rollins for the title twice last year too.)
On one hand, you could say that noting how close Ambrose has come to greatness is one way to rally fans to his side wanting him to break through. On the other hand, its a reminder of how he has consistently fallen short in big match situations. Do you think John Cena would have his legions of fans if he always lost big matches?
Thats not to say that Ambrose is doomed, but reminding fans that he keeps losing big matches only helps if hes going to actually break through. Until that happens or is planned to happen, its not the best thing to keep reminding everyone.
