2. Gargano Therapy Flops

Taking another unexpected (and largely unwanted) turn during the prior episode of NXT, The Way's war with Dexter Lumis saw both Austin Theory and Indi Hartwell seemingly falling head over heels for the steely eyed figure. So, Johnny Gargano felt the family had no choice but to cart Theory off to therapy in order to tackle this peculiar obsession once and for all.

After putting across some rather justified concerns over the fact that Theory had been kidnapped by Lumis and the latter had gotten away with it without any form of punishment, Gargano soon found himself being booted out of the session after forgetting that "calm" was his supposed middle name. An on-form Hartwell likely didn't help things with her cringey remarks about wanting to warm Lumis up and doodling about one day becoming 'Mrs Indi Wrestling Lumis'. But, this was merely the beginning...

Candice LeRae and Hartwell would soon follow Gargano out the door as the night progressed, leaving a painfully hammy Theory to describe the events that unfolded during his three day vacation with Lumis. After disclosing that he spent the time eating cereal and watching cartoons in a boarded up room, the therapist revealed she'd in fact spoken to Lumis earlier in the day. He supposedly told her that he couldn't wait to get rid of Theory, slamming the obnoxious star and his obsession with cutting up t-shirts. An inconsolable Thoery soon fled into Gargano's arms, before the whole thing was revealed to be a ruse set up by the North American Champion as he paid off the crooked therapist.

You guessed it, judging from this "shocking twist" ending, more Lumis retaliation is due to be on the horizon. Yay.
