The promotions of Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch to WWE's main roster may have hit the NXT Women's Division hard, but Bayley, Asuka, and the rest of the women of NXT have done a great job carrying the load since last year. The company is also always keeping an eye open for new talent.

One of those newcomers, who got her first NXT shot on this week's episode, is Tessa Blanchard. Not only is Blanchard a star on the independent scene, but she's the daughter of Four Horsemen member Tully Blanchard. She's gotten a lot of press as of late, and seeing her compete on NXT made it feel like the promotion really has an eye on what's up-and-coming in the sport.

Blanchard wrestled Alexa Bliss, and the two had a very good match. Blanchard showed great fire and babyface skill, while Bliss dominated the ring like a controlling heel. Bliss ended up victorious, but I'm sure we'll see more of Blanchard in the future.
