In a pre-taped segment, American Alpha stood in an empty Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center, marveling about how the arena is now the site of their greatest victory. They were interrupted by Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, who congratulated the new NXT Tag Team Champions on their victory. Amore and Cassady were elated that American Alpha unseated The Revival, but they also mentioned that they've never taken on Jordan and Gable in a match. Enzo laid out a non-title challenge, and American Alpha accepted.

I'm not really sure what the point of the match is - American Alpha certainly shouldn't lose to a team that's making its final NXT appearance, but Enzo and Cass don't really need the loss, either. I'd imagine American Alpha will win and they'll do a "passing the torch" moment, but AA have already established themselves as better than Enzo and Cass. If they're going for a sendoff for the latter pair, a feel-good win over a team like Blake and Murphy would make the most sense.

Despite the misgivings about the actual match, though, the segment was handled well, portrayed all four men as fighting babyfaces, and set up something of a dream match between the company's two most popular tandems.
