There was no women's action on NXT this week - in fact, none of the brand's female competitors even appeared live on the broadcast. In their place was a Bayley-Asuka hype video that made the match look like the real main event of TakeOver: Dallas. The video featured interviews with Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Emma, and Dana Brooke, and started off focusing on Bayley. First, the women discussed how Bayley has formed an incredible connection with NXT's fanbase and how she's fought her way to the top of the brand's women's division. Then the talk turned to Asuka, and how she's been the most dominant force the women of NXT have ever seen. To finish, the women interviewed gave their picks as to who would win the bout (Sasha and Becky picked Bayley, while Emma and Dana went with Asuka). The whole thing gave the match a "real sports" feel and went a long way toward building excitement for it.
