There are a lot of different ways to debut talent in professional wrestling. You can have weeks of vignettes heralding someones arrival. They can just walk out to the ring and introduce themselves. Or they can come out and demolish someone to make a statement.

Thats exactly what Sunny Dhinsa and Gzim Selmani did at TakeOver, coming out after the tag title match and destroying an exhausted American Alpha. The duo, who have been wrestling as the Authors of Pain on the house show circuit, instantly became hated heels for attacking the most popular tag team in NXT.

At the same time, a lot of questions popped up: Why is Paul Ellering out there seemingly with them? What happened to the masks they were wearing in earlier matches? And why did they do this?

This might have been a simple scenario, but simple can be very good.
