For 30 years, United Kingdom fans have wanted a WWF/E PPV/PLE. They’ve gotten UK-only events, but not since SummerSlam 1992 was a main PPV or PLE held in the UK.

Clash at the Castle ended that drought, and fans responded strongly to the show. The crowd of 62,000+ was into the action from the kickoff show six-man tag through the main event. Their reactions to Gunther/Sheamus and Drew McIntyre/Roman Reigns in particular (along with serenading Bayley) were particular moments that added to the matches and made them feel even bigger.

After hearing the reactions and energy throughout the night, you’ve got to imagine this only solidifies the notion of holding PLEs more regularly abroad, be it in the UK or European mainland. It shouldn’t take 30 years for the next UK PLE to take place.
