7 Ups And 5 Downs For WWE Raw Superstar Shakeup

2. An Impactful Debut

It might not be fair to call Drew McIntyre’s appearance on Raw Monday night a debut, but the last time he was in WWE nearly four years ago, he was a different person.

That McIntyre was a member of 3MB and a perpetual jobber. The Drew that showed up alongside Dolph Ziggler on Monday was a reinvented man, the former NXT Champion and a dangerous force. McIntyre and Ziggler wiped out Titus O’Neil and Apollo, leaving the duo laid out as they walked off.

Ziggler coming over to Raw by himself was… blah. It felt like a positive because it could represent a fresh start for a stale character. But having McIntyre alongside him instantly made this a much more interesting story. Will this tandem run roughshod over the tag division or attempt to capture singles gold? Either way, this was a shot in the arm.
