7 Ups And 5 Downs For WWE Raw Superstar Shakeup

1. Joe Looks Like A Star

When Roman Reigns came out to the ring, we knew we were in store for the usual booing from fans and the criticism about Brock Lesnar being a part-timer. It was the same promo we’ve heard a dozen times, and it was shaping up to be a dud, until Samoa Joe saved the day.

Joe came out and ran Roman down, talking about how Reigns likes to brag about how he shows up, but never brags about getting the job done because he doesn’t. Burn. He also reminded Reigns that he would put him down and out at Backlash next month.

What was interesting about this was how Samoa Joe came away from this exchange looking like a calm, cool, badass heel, while Roman sounded stale and repetitive. It just highlighted the difference between the two and how much better Joe carries himself on the mic.

If anything, this should be an “up” for Joe and a “down” for Roman, but it’s also worth noting that Joe tends to bring out the best in Reigns, so maybe we’ll see the Big Dog hit another gear soon.
