7 Ups And 5 Downs For WWE Raw Superstar Shakeup
3. Rivalry An Afterthought
Months ago, the budding rivalry between Sasha Banks and Bayley looked like it could explode in a solid undercard match at WrestleMania 34. Banks had turned on Bayley twice – in the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber.
But instead, they teamed up multiple times, only to lose due to miscommunication several times. Then they cost each other matches and came to blows. And then… nothing. Finally, things looked like they were going to come to a head on Raw Monday night with a one-on-one match. And just when it was looking like a pretty decent match… the Riott Squad attacked.
Just like that, the feud between the two former best friends became angle advancement for the debuting Riott Squad. Now we’ll probably get Bayley and Banks teaming up again to take on the trio, or worse, one will be drafted to SmackDown and we’ll get no resolution.
Either way, this was a pretty big disappointment.
