AEW Suing Triller For $5 Million In Overdue Payments (AEW News)
Tony Khan's company just sued TrillerTV/Triller Group for unpaid revenue tied to AEW Plus.
POST Wrestling recently logged a write-up detailing AEW's lawsuit against TrillerTV/Triller Group to the tune of $5m. Tony Khan's company is taking the group to court seeking unpaid revenue stemming from the now-abolished AEW Plus subscription service that was offered via Triller.
AEW filed the suit on 29 April through Duval County Court in Florida.
They allege that Triller used revenue that belonged to All Elite Wrestling as funding for unspecified "other businesses". This includes a mysterious social media platform that didn't get off the ground. Now, Khan and AEW bosses are out to get what they claim they're still owed - it's a hefty chunk of change outstanding.
AEW attorney's wrote the following as part of their suit: "[Triller Group Inc.’s] strategy of robbing revenues generated by TrillerTV’s distribution of AEW content to cover other of Defendants’ operating expenses (much of which was spent on the social media platform endeavor) negatively impacted its relationship with and payments owed to AEW".
Interestingly, TrillerTV has also been sued by its own parent company Triller Group. It's pretty clear when linking both court cases together that the business is unsustainable and in real trouble. A corporate entity beneath Triller, Flipps Media Inc, told courts that the company is insolvent.
However, TrillerTV still continues to operate and is open for business. They've got some upcoming events on their schedules that people can purchase.
AEW launched MyAEW in March 2026, which replaced what AEW Plus had to offer via Triller. Now, Khan wants that $5m paid back in full.
