7 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (August 27)

6. A Worldwide Development

Let’s face facts: Titus Worldwide as a “brand” is an embarrassment. The trio of Titus O’Neil, Apollo Crews and Dana Brooke have accomplished next-to-nothing during the past year-plus.

So the recent turmoil bubbling up between Apollo & Dana and Titus is a welcome development because it’s something new. Crews and Brooke have to be tired of being punching bags on Raw, so now we’re starting to see some dissension.

They even did a nice bit with Dana getting a “tune-up” match in advance of the Evolution PPV… against Sasha Banks. Apollo nailed it by telling Titus that Brooke hasn’t had a singles match in 9 months, a rare instance of history and attention to detail coming into play. It telegraphed Dana’s loss (even though she got some offense in) and painted O’Neil as perhaps a little underhanded for making that match.

It might not lead anywhere great, but this was a decent little bit of storytelling.
